It’s official. New York has been booked and this will be another thing I can check off my bucket list – NYE in NYC. It’s embarrassing for me to admit but I’ve never really experienced a proper winter before – unless you count two nights down in Thredbo by the fireplace getting inebriated with bubbly as experiencing winter.
Naturally, as someone who lives and breathes fashion and is coincidentally; also a control freak when it comes to being prepared – the first thought that washed over my excited self was… what the f*ck am I going to wear? Let’s face it; we have it pretty good here in Australia… our winters are mild at it’s worst compared to what the rest of the world endures. I’ve never really had the need to invest in anything that’s overly warm because I’ll end up a sweaty and overheated kebab five minutes after stepping out of the house.
So for those who are heading overseas for the holiday season and will also be freezing their apple bottoms off; I’ve put together my winter essentials. I’m counting my lucky stars that the biggest sales event of the year is happening this week and of course Shopbop has now become my go-to.
