Aside from pursuing the most stunning waterfalls in Bali, our next favourite thing about the island is how incredible the food is over there. What’s better than incredibly tasty and fresh food? Incredibly tasty and fresh food that’s super affordable and dare I say, cheap. When you come from a country where a fresh juice will set you back at least $6 (I’ve even been charged $9 once – absurd, I know), arriving in this island paradise will be your epicurean reverie.
Walking through Seminyak you’ll notice immediately that there is a huge Australian and French presence, which has led to some amazing cafes and restaurants. To top it all off, each café and restaurant you come across has the added wow factor of each being incredibly Instagrammable. Let’s be frank, that is genuinely a criteria these days for our generation when it comes to picking an establishment to dine in.
I’ve decided to make it easy for you on your next trip to Bali and compiled my favourite cafes and restaurants to bring you my ultimate guide of the Most Instagrammable Cafes in Bali. Of course, they’re not all just going to be a pretty picture but will also have amazing food.
Most Instagrammable Cafes in Bali
Café Organic
Address: Jl. Petitenget 99x, Seminyak (opposite W Bali Seminyak)
Opening Hours: Daily, 7am – 4pm
Instagram: @caféorganicbali
We stumbled across this whilst riding through Seminyak and these guys are responsible for the rise of the smoothie bowl craze in Bali. Almost all cafes have some form of a smoothie bowl on their menu but you can never go wrong with the original – amiright?
This place is vegetarian and I never thought I’d admit this, but being vegetarian is so easy in Bali because they make it positively delicious. From fresh juices to amazing Acai bowls, don’t forget to add this to your list of cafes to visit.
Sea Circus
Address: 22A, Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak
Opening Hours: Daily, 7.30am – 10pm
Instagram: @seacircus
I don’t know if you guys have noticed but I love colour. I don’t just love to wear it but I love eating at places that are bright and vibrant and have a menu to match. You honestly can’t miss Sea Circus (unless you’re colourblind) because it has got to be the most colourful restaurant in Bali. If you guys can think of another that can compete then please let me know… I guess Motel Mexicola could come closs but it just isn’t Sea Circus.
They have awesome tacos. I think that’s enough said. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner so take your pick! Oh and did I mention awesome cocktails?!
KYND Community
Address: 12, Jalan Petitenget, Seminyak
Opening Hours: Daily, 6am – 4pm
Instagram: @kyndcommunity
Every morning as my husband and I zipped down the back streets of Seminyak we’d pass this place and every time I’d think, I love that pink wall! So one day we were stumped for breakfast spots so I decided to make him come check out the fancy pink wall with me. Turns out this place is vegan and the food is not only instagrammable but delicious too!
The morning we were there, I watched three young men walk in (clearly they had a big night) and were on the hunt for a quick hangover cure. It made me laugh when they stared blankly at the menu for ten minutes before realizing that their dreams of a greasy bacon breakfast had been quashed. So before you go, be prepared to go VEGAN! The smoothie bowls are the best because the mango comes out with a message – oh how easily amused I am.
The Bistrot
Address: Jl. Kayu Aya No. 117, Seminyak
Opening Hours: Daily, 7.30am – 11pm
Instagram: @thebistrotbali
We were wandering down the main street in Seminyak when we decided to try the breakfast here. My husband said the place had a great vintage vibe to the place and he wasn’t wrong – this place is amazing inside. The owners have showcased their personal antique treasures which includes old television sets, antique radios, typewriters, lamps and chandeliers are just a few of the things proudly on display inside.
To sweeten the deal, the food there was great and very photogenic (coming from a seasoned Instagrammer who grams almost every meal). You can enjoy a peaceful breakfast here or you can pop in for a cheeky whisky after dark; both will be amazing experiences.
Strawberry Fields
Address: Jalan Batu Belig 79, Canggu
Opening Hours: Daily, 9am – 1am
Instagram: @strawberryfieldsbali
Ok so I found this place on the Gram myself and couldn’t resist popping in for feast because everything looks so damn scrumptious and of course will send your cholesterol through the roof. But who cares, YOLO right? At least, that’s what I tell my waistline.
Ginormous burgers, picture perfect smoothie bowls, novelty thick shakes and various other items that’ll have you drooling in no time is what you can expect from Strawberry Fields. The best part is that if you’re staying in my favourite area in Bali; Umalas – then it’s literally around the corner.
Nalu Bowls
Address: There are multiple locations including Uluwatu, Canggu, Seminyak and Ubud
Instagram: @nalubowls
I have an insatiable obsession with Acai bowls and after exclusively living off them for a week in Bali, I can report back and say that Nalu Bowls is one of my favourites. If Acai isn’t your jam then pick from all the others they have on offer! They have numerous spots throughout Bali (Seminyak, Uluwatu, Canggu) and each has a beach shack vibe.
If you ever want a place that not only serves pretty and healthy food that tastes just as good as it looks then don’t skip Nalu Bowls!!
